Howdy! I’m a computer geek in San Francisco, but I’m still in love with Chicago. I was born in Texas, grew up in North Carolina and went to college in Tennessee (I like to call it the barbecue circuit). While at the University of Tennessee I had a blast on the swim team (Go Vols!) and met my best friend and future husband (check him out on the right). These days it feels like I spend most of my time in the commute to work, but I also love board games, hanging out with friends, and gardening.
As far as cooking goes I have never gone to culinary school or any type of professional training, but my mom was one hell of a cook and I’ve learned a lot from helping her. I love lemon in my savory dishes and chocolate in my desserts. I put the “messy” in our messy kitchen and am so happy that you are here to share it with!
Hello! In between my time picking up after my husband (check him out on the left) and working as a Biomedical Engineer, I love to go hiking, watch movies, and explore San Francisco! I grew up right alongside the Mississippi river in Memphis, TN where my parents still live.
My favorite dish to cook (and eat) is chicken carbonara. My biggest cooking claim to fame is the “Best Pie” award I won at my husband’s annual family reunion pie contest (I keep it on the fridge so he won’t forget). I love to cook new dishes as often as I can and try my hardest to use the freshest ingredients possible. I hope you enjoy cooking these meals as much as I do, and don’t be afraid to get a little messy!
We met at the University of Tennessee in 2012 and got married in 2017. After living in Chicago for a few they moved to San Francisco, California where they currently live with our dog (Callie) and two cats (Theo and Roxy). They are our little support group and are always there to offer a helping hand!
